About this tour

InkaNet Adventure invites you to explore MachuPicchu, an Inca city that is one of the most beautiful and mystical places in the world, discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. It is nestled between the MachuPicchu and Wayna Picchu mountains, offering breathtaking views and surrounded by stunning glaciers and Amazonian vegetation. This one-day tour to MachuPicchu is truly impressive. The journey from Cusco to Machu Picchu is by train, allowing travelers to admire various towns along the way, characterized by adobe buildings with tile or straw roofs. As the train ascends in a zigzag pattern, passengers are treated to awe-inspiring views of Cusco from above. The return journey at night offers a magical sight, with Cusco illuminated below. The route passes through different towns such as Poroy, Huarocodo, Piscacucho, or Km 82, the starting point of the Inca Trail, before reaching Aguas Calientes, where visitors board a bus to Machu Picchu. Discovered by Professor Hiram Bingham and considered a marvel of the world, Machu Picchu sits at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level. While its exact purpose remains a mystery, modern research suggests it served various social, political, economic, and religious functions, possibly as a gateway to the jungle. This Inca city, perched atop the mountain that shares its name, is surrounded by other peaks such as Putucusi, Huayna Picchu, and the Vilcabamba mountain range. Each year, thousands of tourists flock to this enigmatic site, drawn by its beauty and historical significance.
