Each year, only 500 trekking permits are issued daily for the Inca Trail, including permits for support staff like porters, cooks, and guides. As demand fluctuates and logistics need careful consideration, it’s advisable to secure your Inca Trail permit well ahead of your intended travel date.

Our Inca Trail Itinerary
Below is a detailed outline of our Inca Trail journey, focusing on the hiking days:
Day 1: Begin from Ollantaytambo in the morning, reaching km. 82 and ascending to the campground.
Day 2: Start early, trekking through the cloud forest, ascending to Dead Woman’s Pass, and descending afterward.
Day 3: Rise early to hike through the most picturesque section of the trail.
Day 4: Depart in the early morning (3 a.m.) to reach the entry checkpoint, then hike for 1-2 hours to the Sun Gate and Machu Picchu.
