We departed from Cusco city promptly at 4:30 AM, embarking on a scenic bus journey towards the charming town of Ollantaytambo. En route, we traversed picturesque villages including Chinchero and Urubamba, arriving in Ollantaytambo after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. There, we boarded the train bound for Aguas Calientes, a journey of equal duration, immersing ourselves in the mesmerizing landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we transferred to a bus destined for the awe-inspiring Inca city of Machu Picchu, where we embarked on a comprehensive guided tour lasting about 4 hours. Exploring the ancient ruins, we marveled at the architectural wonders and soaked in the rich history of this mystical site. After our exploration, we descended back to Aguas Calientes, where a delicious lunch awaited. Following a brief respite, we made our way to the train station to catch our return journey to Ollantaytambo. From there, we boarded a bus back to Cusco city, reaching our lodgings at approximately 9:30 PM.

Departing from Cusco at 4:30 AM by bus, we venture to Mollepata, a village situated at 3,400 meters above sea level, where we enjoy breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa at 3,900 meters. From there, our ascent to Humantay Lagoon begins, a 3-hour trek through Andean landscapes to reach the stunning altitude of 4,300 meters. After marveling at the azure waters, we partake in an Inca ceremony before descending for 2 hours and returning to Mollepata for lunch. Our journey back to Cusco offers time to reflect on the day's experiences amidst breathtaking landscapes, cultural immersion, and spiritual connection, with the assurance of oxygen provided for altitudes exceeding 4,000 meters.

Amazing view of the Rainbow Mountain in the Andes mountain range glacier, where this magnificent natural formation stands at 5,030 meters above sea level. We begin this activity in the city of Cusco at 4 AM.
By bus, the morning journey of approximately 2 hours takes us to the town of Cusipata, where we have breakfast before continuing for another hour to reach the starting point of the hike at 4,400 meters above sea level. Here, we begin to ascend slowly, taking about 3 hours to reach the viewpoint at 5,030 meters above sea level. From here, you have a beautiful view of the mountain and the landscape of the Red Valley due to the large amount of minerals found in the area. After this, and a wonderful view of the snow-capped mountain and the Rainbow Mountain, we return by descending for approximately 1.5 hours to the starting point of the hike to board the bus and go to the lunch place in Cusipata before returning to the city of Cusco, arriving around 4 PM.
Other highlights: We hike between 4,400 meters above sea level and 5,030 meters, and it is possible that you may experience altitude sickness such as soroche or headaches, which is why we carry oxygen.
